Retail Buildings for Sale in Seattle Chinatown International District

The Seattle Chinatown International District is comprised of 4 different zonings. West of the freeway is zoned International District. East of the freeway is zoned Neighborhood Commercial, Commercial, and Lowrise Multi-Family. The International District zoning is a mixed residential and commercial zoning.

The Commercial zoning in the Chinatown International District allows typical uses such as large supermarkets, building supplies and household goods, auto sales and repairs, and apartments. There are limited parking restrictions in this area with a maximum size of approximately 35,000 sq.ft.

The Neighborhood Commercial zoning in the International District is similar to the standard Commercial zoning, but a small to medium scale. There are stricter parking restrictions and maximum size requirements in the neighborhood commercial zoning. A portion of the International District is also zoned for lowrise multi-family, which essentially allows for smaller apartment buildings.
